Da er vi klare for siste redaksjonelle sak fra Reistadløpsavisa 2021 som aldri ble distribuert.

Hos Øverbygd Elektro tropper nesten alle opp på startstreken i Reistadløpet.
Daglig leder i Øverbygd Elektro, Paul Erik Kongsvold, er stolt av sine ansatte. Av en arbeidsstyrke på 13–14 mann, stilte hele ti stykker til start i 2018, mens ni av de ansatte spente på seg skiene i 2019. Og til 2021-løpet var det enda flere deltakere fra vårt firma som var påmeldt.
– I tillegg kommer det muligens også noen venner av de ansatte som vi tar under samme paraply, sier Kongsvold.
Grunnleggeren
Det er ikke bare i skiløypa at de ansatte får testa sin kondisjon. Leif Haug, som grunnla Øverbygd Elektro, sykla strekninga Vollan–Tromsø sammen med Kongsvold. Det skjedde første gang allerede i 1999, og har etter hvert blitt en tradisjon for flere enn bare de to.
– Nesten alle i firmaet er med på denne turen. Vi sykler fra Vollan til Tromsø, der det blir hotellovernatting og sosialt samvær, forteller Kongsvold.
Han ivrer etter å motivere sine ansatte.
– En elektriker i form er bedre enn en elektriker som ikke er i form, slår han fast.
Påmelding
Bedriften betaler påmeldinga til Reistadløpet for sine ansatte. Etter løpet er det duket for sosialt samvær.
– Flere av de ansatte begynner tidlig å trene med tanke på Reistadløpet. Og det er målet vårt, å få dem til å trene mer.
En av medarbeiderne hadde ikke gjort disse forberedelsene, og gikk på en aldri så liten smell under fjorårets utgave av Reistadløpet.
– Han hadde ikke trent noe på forhånd, og sa at dette var det tyngste han noen gang hadde vært med på, humrer Kongsvold.
Han gleder seg til løpet, og regner med at bedriften stiller i konkurransen som strekker seg over 34 km på tid.
– Det er ei fantastisk løype og et utrolig bra arrangement. Vi er blitt sponsorer, og har tegnet partneravtale ut 2022. Det er vel anvendte penger, slår Kongsvold fast.
Making sure all employees are keeping fit
Almost all the people employed at Øverbygd Elektro, an electrical firm, are to be found at the start line of the Reistadløpet.
The CEO of the company, Paul Erik Kongsvold, is very proud of his employees. Of a workforce of 13-14 people, 10 started in the Reistadløpet in 2018 and nine in 2019.
“I think even more people will take part this year (2021) and they might bring along some friends, all starting in the name of the company” Kongsvold says.
The founder of the company
The ski-slopes are not the only place where the people employed in Øverbygd Elektro test out their fitness. The founder of the company, Leif Haug, took part in the cycling race going from Vollan to Tromsø together with Kongsvold as early as in 1999 and taking part in this race has become something of a tradition not only for the two of them, but also for many more from the company.
“Almost everybody comes along. We bicycle from Vollan to Tromsø and then stay the night at a hotel socializing” Kongsvold tells us. He is very eager to motivate his employees to stay fit. “An electrician in good shape is worth much more than one that is unfit” he states.
Registration
The company pays the registration fee to the Reistadløpet for everybody that wants to take part. After the race they all come together to celebrate.
“Several of the employees start their training well ahead of the race. And that is our aim – to make them exercise more. Before the race last year, one of the employees had not prepared properly for the race and he had a tough time across the mountains. He said that this was the worst he had ever experienced” Kongsvold chuckles. He is looking forward to the race this year and thinks that the distance for them is the 34K with timing.
“It is a fantastic track and a well-organized event. We have become sponsors for the race for the 2021- and 2022-race. We think this is money well spent” Kongsvold states.
